Steinbring Motorcoach in Garfield is tapping into the power of the Internet and social media.
It recently launched an application, “Steinbring Motorcoach Inc.” that is available through the Apple App Store as well as Google Play and Android Apps.
“We believe we are one of the first motorhome dealers to offer a full feature mobile app,” said Blake Steinbring, the marketing major/marketing director at Steinbring Motorcoach and owner of Bulldog Advertising.
When approached with the idea for an app last fall, Steinbring knew they were onto something big.
He spent a few days researching the app building process and how to submit them to the various platforms, signed up as an Apple and Google developer and started making the app for both iOS and Android.
As of January 28, the app had been downloaded 144 times.
From within the app, users can read about the company’s history, find business hours, view its inventory in a mobile friendly format, read Facebook posts and Tweets, view YouTube videos, get the company’s latest press releases with an RSS reader, learn about the latest 2013 Newmar models, view a photo gallery, submit their own photos, get driving directions or call the company from within the app.
“Both iPhone/iPad users and Android users can find us in app stores by searching for Steinbring Motorcoach,” said Steinbring.
In addition to the app, Steinbring Motorcoach has put a lot of time and effort into its Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages and can be found on FourSquare and Google+.
“We currently have 148 likes on Facebook, 184,794 YouTube views and 17 followers on Twitter,” said Steinbring. “All of this marketing helped us have a record year in 2012 as we sold 144 motorhomes and saw a 41 percent increase in web traffic and sales.”
Between all the cutting edge marketing techniques and a well maintained website, the company has grown to become one of the largest Newmar dealers in the nation.
“And it all happens in Garfield, Minnesota,” Steinbring said. “People come from all over the United States and Canada to buy a motorhome from a dealer in a town of about 350 people. We think it makes for a really fun and memorable experience for our buyers.”
