Dog training classes to begin
Lakes Area Recreation (LAR) will offer six weeks of obedience training for all dogs on Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the LAR gym February 27 through April 3.
Lakes Area Recreation (LAR) will offer six weeks of obedience training for all dogs on Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at the LAR gym February 27 through April 3.
Class topics will center on the basic skills of sit, stay, come, down and heel, but it will also include some trick training, learning theory, and indoor drills.
Preparing to Volunteer with Dogs is also offered on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 p.m. at the LAR gym February 27 through April 3.
This class is designed to help owners decide if their dogs are appropriate for volunteering and to give them the skills needed to make their visits safe and rewarding.
