To the editor:
Concerning the non-stop, abhorrent vitriol aimed at anyone who would like to see a tightening of background checks for weapons and the abject paranoia that assault rifles might be prized from their cold dead fingers, it is now my honest belief that I am far more frightened of the militia-joining, bunker-building, government-hating, “South will rise again,” gun-toting yahoos and their intelligence level or lack thereof than I am the weapons themselves.
