Girls' basketball: Osakis rolls over Pierz

The Osakis girls finished last week with a 19-2 record, an 11-1 mark in the Prairie Conference and a 10-0 record against section opponents.

The Silverstreaks stayed perfect against the Section 6AA field by running past Pierz 66-47 on Saturday. Annalise Savageau had 25 points, five assists and three blocks, while Brooke Sorenson poured in 14 points to go with five assists and three blocks.

“Brooke had a great game on both ends of the floor,” head coach Pat Kalpin said. “Besides scoring and rebounding, she did so many other little things that helped our team. Annalise had another good day shooting the ball for us. She’s shooting with great confidence right now. Overall, a great game and win for the team.”

Prairie Conference opponent Browerville will be in Osakis this Friday to wrap up the week.
