Alex basketball will host doubleheader to raise money for cancer research
The Alexandria boys' and girls' basketball teams will host a doubleheader against Bemidji on Saturday in an effort to help raise money for cancer research.
Fans will be able to purchase "Take Flight for the Fight" apparel at the event with all the proceeds raised going to the Douglas County Hospitals' Oncology Unit for cancer research. The 9th grade and junior varsity girls' game is set to tip off at 2:30 Saturday afternoon. The boys game will follow around 4 p.m.
The girls' varsity game against Bemidji will tip off around 6 that night, with the boys' varsity game to follow against the Lumberjacks around 7:30.
