Alpine skiing: Schneider qualifies for state meet

Alexandria freshman Jack Schneider finished eighth among 100 male competitors at the Section 5 alpine ski meet on Thursday and finished as the only qualifier for the state meet from the Lakes Area Alpine team.

Yesterday's race took place at Afton Alps. Schneider will now head up to Giants Ridge next Wednesday near Biwabik to race at the state meet.
