Learn the art of weaving baskets
In Community Education’s “Sampler Basket” class, three different weaving techniques will be “sampled” to create a round basket.
In Community Education’s “Sampler Basket” class, three different weaving techniques will be “sampled” to create a round basket. The finished size of the basket is approximately 7 inches in diameter and 4 inches high. Dyed, smoked and natural reed will be used.
A materials list will be provided at the time of registration. Instructor Mary Smith has been making baskets since 2004.
Class will be held at Discovery Middle School in Alexandria on Wednesday, February 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. The cost is $29.
