'The Burning Court' hits airwaves
In The Burning Court, animosity and ill will exist over centuries.
Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:
ON STAGE
LAT, in conjunction with the Alexandria Community Read program, will present a radio adaptation of Dashiell Hammett’s The Maltese Falcon on Friday, February 8 at 7 p.m.
Private Eye Sam Spade solves the case, gets the jewel encrusted Maltese Falcon and some dough. But in the process, his partner is murdered and a slick chick gets sent away for life.
The show is directed by Paul Schoenack and stars Philip Goellner, Quincy Roers, Sharon Thalmann and Mike Roers. Bob Piotrowski will provide the music with Kent Garlinghouse providing the sound effects.
ON THE AIR
In The Burning Court, animosity and ill will exist over centuries. Malevolent spirits won’t rest until perceived wrongdoers are avenged.
The show was directed by Sharon Thalmann and starred Paul Schoenack, Kevin Lee, Scott Giannone, Becky Byrne, John Thalmann and Karen Obermiller. Music was provided by Bob Piotrowski with Hilary Ninman designing and performing the sound effects.
