Pemberton Law Firm adds new attorneys
A long-time local and regional law firm, Pemberton, Sorlie, Rufer and Kershner, with attorneys in four different locations in Alexandria, Fergus Falls, Detroit Lakes and Wadena, announced the addition of four new attorneys: Paul Johnson, Julie Haseman, Amanda Hanson and Sarah (Tuel) Duffy.
A long-time local and regional law firm, Pemberton, Sorlie, Rufer and Kershner, with attorneys in four different locations in Alexandria, Fergus Falls, Detroit Lakes and Wadena, announced the addition of four new attorneys: Paul Johnson, Julie Haseman, Amanda Hanson and Sarah (Tuel) Duffy.
The firm added Johnson and Haseman as new partners in the Alexandria office.
Johnson has a practice focusing on business sales and acquisitions, business formation and operational matters of corporations, cooperatives, partnerships, limited liability companies and limited liability partnerships.
He practices in the areas of real estate law and township law. Johnson graduated summa cum laude from Concordia College in Moorhead in 1976 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks in 1979. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota state and federal courts.
Haseman also has an established practice, primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate, trusts, real estate and township law. She graduated with distinction from the University of Minnesota, Morris in 1986, also receiving the Scholar of the College Award and elected to the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
She graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1989. She is licensed to practice in Minnesota state and federal court, and is also actively involved with pro bono work for both Wills for Heroes Minnesota and Legal Services of Northwest Minnesota.
Hanson joined the firm in September and works out of the Detroit Lakes office. She was born and raised in Fergus Falls, graduated summa cum laude in 2009 from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2012.
She maintains a general practice, including general litigation, estate planning and an emphasis in family law.
Duffy is also a Fergus Falls native and joined the Fergus Falls office full time in November. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2007 and William Mitchell College of Law in 2012. Her practice focuses on public school law, labor law and estate planning. She is a member of the firm’s civil litigation and employment and labor practice groups.
