Alexandria took care of Minnesota 4-2 this past weekend after falling to Twin City 3-1 last Wednesday. The loss to Twin City snapped a six-game winning streak for the Blizzard.
Tanner Duffney helped Alexandria start a new winning streak with two goals and an assist against Minnesota. Ian Ecklund and Mick Dhein each added another in a game the Blizzard never trailed in.
Drake Hunter had Alexandria’s only goal of the night against Twin City. The Steel took a 1-0 lead in the first period and never gave it up after two more in the second period.
The Blizzard will have a chance to avenge that loss when Twin City comes to the RCC tonight, Friday. Granite City will be in town on Saturday. Both games are set to start at 7 p.m.
