The boys’ Lakes Area Alpine ski team squeezed out a win over Brainerd Friday as Andrew Backman earned a first place finish.
Russel Lindahl finished fourth, Ross Ellison fifth, Matthew Bittman eighth, Alec Donnelly ninth and Mason Gardner 10th.
The girls had just one finisher as Katie Gieseke placed eighth.
In an earlier four-team meet hosted by the Lakes Area team, Jack Schneider finished first for the varsity boys, with Backman fourth, Lindahl seventh, Donnelly 15th, Bittman 18th, Eli Kracht 19th, Trevor Strandskov 26th and Riley Mollerud 28th.
Gieseke finished 10th for the girls, while Madison Neuleib was 14th.
The team will be at Afton Alps tomorrow, Thursday, for section competition.
