Letter - Why don't we mourn these thousands? It makes no sense to me. We all mourned the lives that were taken at Newtown, CT. Why don’t we mourn the same for the thousands that we contribute to this massacre?
To the editor:
The federal government is trying hard to draft and pass tougher gun control legislation. I get that: crazed young man comes to a school and guns down 26 innocent lives.
In the meantime, they bring in Gabby Gifford and others to speak and voice their support for stricter gun control. They all quote, “We must save the children” from future travesties.
On the other hand, the federal government has been funding millions of dollars in legislation to kill children. Not the 20-some children in Newtown, CT or the theater shooting in Colorado, I’m talking about the government-supported abortions. Yes, on the back of us taxpayers; we are killing daily by the hundreds.
I don’t see anybody in Washington speaking on camera about this. Oh, that’s right, they can’t speak for themselves, they’re babies!
It makes no sense to me. We all mourned the lives that were taken at Newtown, CT. Why don’t we mourn the same for the thousands that we contribute to this massacre?
