Hear 'The Life of Hubie Hartzel' on the air
In a radio adaptation of Susan Rowan Masters’ novel The Secret Life of Hubie Hartzel, 10-year-old Hubie deals with the school bully, girls, a lovely new art teacher and his family.
Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:
ON STAGE
LAT will have an evening of romantic entertainment on Friday, February 1 at 7 p.m. with two short stories.
In A Sunny Morning, a couple is reunited, unbeknownst to them, on a sunny morning in a park. In Rendezvous with Tomorrow, a woman receives her most desired wish as she lingers with a severe illness.
The shows are directed by Christy Meier and will star Keri Mohror, Sharon Thalmann and Paul Schoenack. Bob Piotrowski will provide the music while Kent Garlinghouse will perform the sound effects.

The show was directed by Kent Garlinghouse and stars Ben Klipfel, Matthew Hartman, Ben Roers, Brittany Wallerich, Claudia Bursch, Katy Niemeyer and Leah Drexler. The sound effects were performed by Hilary Ninman, with music by Bob Piotrowski.
The Life of Hubie Hartzel will air on Sunday, February 3, at 12:30 p.m. on KXRA 1490 AM.
