Jobs and Java to teach job fair preparation

Jobs and Java will feature the informational presentation “Job Fair Preparation” on Tuesday, February 5 at 10 a.m.

Jobs and Java will feature the informational presentation “Job Fair Preparation” on Tuesday, February 5 at 10 a.m.

This session will help job seekers prepare for the ninth annual Greater Alexandria Job Resource Fair. The job fair will be held on February 6 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Alexandria Technical and Community College Law Enforcement Center gymnasium in Alexandria.

Participants will learn how to make a great first impression, prepare a short introductory elevator speech and learn what to bring to the job fair to make the most of the opportunity.

The public is invited for coffee and to learn more about local companies, their products and services, career opportunities and hiring processes, job seeking tips and more.

These sessions are held at the Alexandria WorkForce Center, 303 22nd Avenue West. There is no charge or registration for these sessions.
