Brrrrr! Wind chill warning in Douglas County; some schools running late

The Douglas County area is under a windchill warning through noon on Friday.

Some schools in the area are running two hours late this morning, Thursday, including Minnewaska Area and West Central Area.

If you venture outside, brace yourself for dangerously cold windchills of 30 to 40-below zero, according to the National Weather Service.

The temperature in Alexandria at 8 a.m. this morning, without the wind factored in, was 10-below zero.
