Alexandria gymnastics: Cardinals sixth at True Team

The Cardinal gymnastics team finished sixth at the State Class A True Team meet over the weekend, up five points from last year’s finish.

Hannah Wendel led the team on the beam and on floor, while Briquelle Bowden led the Cardinals on vault and bars.

“This meet is an invite only for the top 10 single A teams in the state,” said head coach Becca Cederberg. “To be invited was such an honor and then to have such a great meet was extremely exciting. It was fun to watch the Cardinals as they truly looked as though they enjoyed themselves.”

The Cardinals will be hosting Melrose next Tuesday.
