Celebrate Recovery in Alexandria will host a chalk art presentation at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 28 at Alexandria Covenant Church, 4005 Dakota Street, Alexandria.
As part of this presentation, Craig Dormanen and Paul Valder will share their struggles with addictions and intertwine stories of the relationships they had with their fathers.
From the Twin Cities, Dormanen and Valder have shared this presentation with Celebrate Recovery groups and churches around the state.
Even though their father stories are dramatically different, they were still deeply affected by addiction issues, Dormanen with sexual addictions and Valder with alcohol. Though the same Father God, however, they were able to overcome these addictions.
A joint program of Catalyst and Covenant churches in Alexandria, Celebrate Recovery offers freedom from addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors along with support and training for family members and friends of those who struggle.
