Sharon Pedersen of Alexandria took this photo of a white-tailed jack rabbit in her backyard last week.
She provided some information about jack rabbits: They’re the largest member of the rabbit and hare family, typically weighing from 6 to 10 pounds, and have the ability to leap 10 feet at a time at speeds of 40 miles per hour.
