Osakis responded to its second loss of the season by winning their next two games with relative ease last week. The Silverstreaks took care of West Central Area 56-39 last Friday before going to Minnewaska and leaving with a 59-29 win.
Osakis used a balanced scoring effort to run away with things in both games. Eleven different players scored against Minnewaska, led by Savageau’s 16 and Becka Sadlemyer’s nine. The Silverstreaks also got 23 points off their bench.
It was a similar story against the Knights as nine different players scored and six finished with at least six points. Madi Forsell had 10, while Savageau and Brooke Sorenson each added eight.
The week resulted in Osakis upping its record to 12-2 overall. The Silverstreaks improved to 6-1 in the Prairie Conference. They will have a chance to improve on that this week as they go on the road for two league games against Swanville last night, Tuesday, and at Royalton on Thursday.

The Osakis girls’ basketball team took care of Swanville 59-25 on Tuesday night to up its record to 7-1 in the Prairie Conference.
Annalise Savageau led 10 Osakis players in scoring with 12 points. Mackenzie Staloch and Brittney Sadlemyer each added eight, while Brooke Sorenson had a nice all-around game with seven points, five assists, nine rebounds and five steals.
