Alexandria gymnastics: Cardinals win again

It was another great meet for the Cardinal gymnastics team, who improved to 8-1 overall with a 140.55-130.925 win over Little Falls Tuesday night.
The Cardinals didn’t grab the all-around title, but did win two individual events as Hannah Wendel and Briquelle Bowden took top honors in the vault and floor, respectively.
It was the Cardinals’ depth that gave them the win as they took second through fifth places in both the bars and the beam.
“The highlight of the meet was recognizing our only senior, Briquelle Bowden,” said head coach Becca Cederberg. “Briquelle is a third year captain who has brought great leadership, positive attitude and an amazing work ethic to the gymnastics team.”
The gymnastics team will be at Jackson County Center’s Invitational tomorrow, Saturday, then will be hosting Melrose on February 5.
