Bursch Travel acquires South Dakota location

Bursch Travel Agency, Inc. has acquired Modrick Cruises and Travel of Rapid City, South Dakota. Modrick is the largest travel agency in western South Dakota and has been a Rapid City business for more than 20 years.

Bursch Travel has 15 locations in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Minnesota, including Alexandria.

According to Fred Bursch, president of Bursch Travel, they plan no changes in the staff or the office location on Mt. Rushmore Road.

Owners of Modrick Travel, Lisa and Mike Modrick, who have taken more than 50 cruises and are accredited Elite Cruise Counselors, will continue to host cruise groups throughout the world.

Bursch Travel has been a second-generation family business for almost 60 years. An American Express Representative Travel office, it believes in providing knowledgeable, local service to both corporate and leisure travelers.
