Sara Solhjem, a graduate student in mathematics from Alexandria, was a tutor at a record-breaking Math-In on December 8 at North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo, North Dakota. An all-time high of 367 students attended the Math-In, a daylong tutoring session on December 8 where Math Club volunteers helped students brush up for finals.

Douglas Johnson of Alexandria graduated cum laude at the fall 2012 commencement ceremony at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering.
