Alexandria boys' basketball: Cards fall to Big Lake
The Alexandria boys’ basketball team worked its way to a tie game at the half before getting outscored 34-25 in the second half of a 70-61 loss in Big Lake on Saturday.
Junior guard John Vogeler made his return from an ankle injury and scored nine points. Logan Doyle had 18 points and Brandon Bistodeau added 13.
“The two main factors in the game were turnovers and missed opportunities,” head coach Forrest Witt said. “We had some critical unforced turnovers and missed shot attempts close to the basket that kept us from making a run when our defense remained solid.”
