Engaged - Nelson and Maloney

Abby Nelson and Thomas Maloney, both of Alexandria, announce their engagement.

Abby is the daughter of Christi Nelson of Alexandria and Alan Nelson of Tucson, Arizona. She is a 2008 graduate of Jefferson High School in Alexandria and a 2012 graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in school counseling at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota.

Thomas is the son of Mark and Roxann Maloney of Alexandria. He is a 2006 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 2010 graduate of University of St. Thomas in St. Paul with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

He was recently selected to attend the Naval Post Graduate School to study acquisition management, MBA.

Thomas has served in the U.S. Air Force since 2010. He currently serves the U.S. Air Force as a contracting officer at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.

An August 9, 2013 wedding is planned in Monterey, California.
