Bremer Bank announced that Ruth Molloy was promoted to vice president of Bremer Investment Management and Trust.

• Iverson Insurance Agency, with offices in Miltona, Parkers Prairie and Alexandria, announced that Bruce Hanstad was hired as a new writing agent in the Alexandria office.

Hanstad has three years of experience in the insurance business and more than 30 years of sales/business experience. He has lived in Alexandria with his wife, Linda, for 23 years and has two grown children, Brittany and Bryce.

• Chris Dilley from Dilley Zimny Insurance in Alexandria recently received his Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation. He chose to pursue the designation for education purposes so that the additional skills and expertise gained will benefit his clients.

All AAI candidates take extensive coursework in commercial lines loss exposure, coverage forms, endorsements, risk analysis, techniques and tools, loss prevention, premium audits and claims services. Candidates must then pass nine exams covering specific areas.

• The West Central Minnesota Society for Human Resource Management recently awarded Jessie Hjelle, human resources administrator at Douglas Scientific in Alexandria, with the eighth annual HR Professional Award of Excellence.

The award recognizes HR professionals who have made significant contributions to the HR profession in their place of employment, have helped develop HR strategies and had an effect on their company culture.

Hjelle implemented new recruiting practices and worked with Alexandria Technical and Community College and the state of Minnesota to develop employee internships with a bioscience emphasis. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Cloud State University. She is active in the community and serves on several HR committees.

• Bremer Bank announced that Ruth Molloy was promoted to vice president of Bremer Investment Management and Trust.

Molloy joined Bremer Trust in 1995 and has expanded her responsibilities over the past 17 years. In her new role, she will manage client relationships and supervise the administration of accounts, trusts and retirement plans for the Alexandria Charter.

Molloy holds the certified retirement plan specialist and certified trust and financial advisor designations. She also has a CPA certificate and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Prior to joining Bremer, Molloy worked in the trust department at Citizens First National Bank.
