Letter - Grateful for beauty in the wholeness of healthy human life

To the editor:
Desiree McDonough and Megan Sanders reminded us about the reality that “beauty isn’t everything.” [letter to the editor, December 28] How true that is. It’s magical and wonderful as part of a full and good and decent life. When added to intelligence, ethics, moral purpose, humor, kindness, hard work, family, community and many other vital human qualities it is a fine, fine thing.
The beauty of nature is oh-so-lovely, but one needs to return to the barn to milk the cows as well. Great art enriches the soul but the kids need to be fed. Female beauty of face and form are unsurpassed in all the world of beauty. We are grateful for it in the wholeness of healthy human life.
