The first baby born at the Douglas County Hospital to parents living in Douglas County in 2013 is Julieta Odio, the daughter of Claudia and George Odio Jr. She arrived on January 2 at 3:49 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces.

To help get the baby off to a safe start, the Alexandria VFW Auxiliary, represented by Cecilia Haffner, presented the Odios with an infant car seat.
