Three school board members took the oath of office at the beginning of the meeting. Incumbents Dave Anderson and Pam Carlson were re-elected and newcomer Angie Krebs was elected to her first term on the school board. Alan Zeithamer, Jean Robley, Dean Anderson and Sandy Susag also serve on the local school board.
Dean Anderson was elected by fellow board members to serve again as chair of the board; Dave Anderson is vice-chair and Robley will serve as clerk/treasurer.
In other action, the board also approved their pay for 2013. For the fifth straight year, the board delayed implementing an annual pay raise. The annual stipend per board member is $3,000, with the board chair receiving an additional $500 per year.
