Boys' basketball: Key free throws give ACGC win over Minnewaska

An intentional foul by Minnewaska on Dylan Hoerschler put the Falcon player at the free throw line with the game tied at 73 and 3.5 seconds remaining on the clock.
Hoerschler hit one of two shots to give Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City a one-point lead and the ball, and the Lakers again fouled Hoerschler, who hit both shots this time to give the team a three-point 76-73 victory over Minnewaska Tuesday night.
Hoerschler fnished the night with 27 points, while Minnewaska was led by Austin Ostrander with 22 and Austin Lieser with 18.
Ostrander had a double-double night as he added 10 rebounds to his stats.
Isaiah Adams contributed 14 points and Jake Amundson 11 as Minnewaska fell to 3-7 on the season.
The Lakers are headed to St. John’s Prep on Tuesday.
