Letter - Some vehicle owners aren't paying their fair share
I do understand that we need more money to maintain and upgrade our Minnesota road system, but do not agree with raising the gas tax.
To the editor:
I do understand that we need more money to maintain and upgrade our Minnesota road system, but do not agree with raising the gas tax.
Instead of raising the gas tax, I would recommend that we place a tax on hybrid and electric cars. As it is, they are using the highways without paying their fair share. A simple way to collect this tax would be to add it to the cost of their license plates.
