Alexandria gymnastics: Cards tumble Tech

Behind four individual first place finishes and the top all-around finish by Briquelle Bowden, the Cardinal gymnasts posted a 136.2-128.975 win over Sartell Thursday night, improving Alexandria’s Central Lakes Conference record to 2-1.
Bowden posted a 9.3 on vault, 8.625 on bars, 8.9 on beam and 9.325 on floor for a total 36.15 and the top all-around score.
Hannah Wendel was second in the all-around scoring as she finished fourth on vault, second on bars, second on beam and second on floor, while Tahlia Bowden was third overall with a third on vault, fifth on bars and a third on beam.
Jana Roste’s 8.1 on the beam earned her fourth place and a personal best.
The Cardinals will host Willmar tomorrow night, Thursday, at the gymnastics center.
