Alexandria girls' basketball: Cards are consolation champions
The Cardinal girls’ basketball team dropped its opening game of the Alexandria holiday tournament, falling to Park Center in the opener 64-42.
The Cards and the Pirates were in a tight game through until the final three minutes of play when Park Center pulled away.
Moorhead defeated Robbinsdale Armstrong 65-62 in overtime of the first game.
The consolation championship went to the Cardinals as they stopped Robbinsdale Armstrong 64-50, while Park Center claimed the title with an 82-50 win over Moorhead.
