Ski or snowshoe on candle-lit trails January 19

Lake Carlos State Park will offer candle-lit ski and snowshoe trails on Saturday, January 19.

Lake Carlos State Park will offer candle-lit ski and snowshoe trails on Saturday, January 19. This event provides an opportunity to ski or snowshoe on trails illuminated by the glow of candles or luminaries. Visitors can warm up around a fire or enjoy snacks and refreshments.

There are 3.5 miles of ski trails and 1.5 miles of snowshoe trails. Both are suitable for beginner-level skiers or snowshoers of all ages. Although a vehicle permit is required to enter Minnesota state parks ($5/one-day permit or $25/year-round permit), there is no additional charge to participate in this event.

In the event there is not enough snow to ski or snowshoe, this event will be changed to a candle-lit hike.
