Legacy funds support artist exhibit in Little Falls

The Great River Arts Association in Little Falls will present Linsy Halleckson in the main gallery. The exhibit features approximately 30 abstract paintings.

The Great River Arts Association in Little Falls will present Linsy Halleckson in the main gallery. The exhibit features approximately 30 abstract paintings.

When Halleckson speaks of her work, she says, “The core of my work focuses on reconnecting to the land in a silent, thoughtful way as a means of reconnecting with the self.” She has been

recognized for her work through a variety of residencies, grants and awards. More information can be found on her website, www.lindsyhalleckson.com.

An opening reception to meet the artist and experience this unique show is Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, running now through February 22, 2013. Great River Arts Center is located at 122 SE 1st Street, downtown Little Falls, (320)632-0960 and website www.greatart.org .

The gallery is opened Wednesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This activity is made possible in part by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
