1940's radio hit revisited

Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:
ON STAGE
There will be no live performance at LAT on Friday, December 28. Live performances will resume January 11.
ON THE AIR
My Friend Irma, created by writer-director-producer Cy Howard, was a top-rated, long-running radio situation comedy. Its success in the late 1940s escalated to films, television, a comic strip and a comic book. The radio series was broadcast on CBS radio from 1947 to 1954.
Listen to KXRA 1490 AM on Sunday, December 30 at 12:30 p.m. for a New Year’s episode from the old radio series. The show stars Ann Hermes, Nancy Klepetka, David Christman, Kip Sundlee, Paul Schoenack and Mary Pohl. Bob Piotrowski arranged and performed the music.
