Alexandria girls' basketball: Holiday tournament opens tonight

 The Cardinal girls’ basketball holiday tournament will get underway on Friday, December 28 at 6 p.m. with Moorhead facing Robbinsdale Armstrong in the opening contest of varsity action.

At 7:30 p.m., the Cardinal girls will take on Park Center.

The finals of the tournament will be held on Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. with the consolation game, followed by the championship at 6:30 p.m.

Alexandria is the defending champion.

There will also be a JV tournament beginning at 2:15 p.m. on Friday with Park Center facing Alexandria, followed by Moorhead at Robbinsdale Armstrong at 3:45 p.m.

The JV finals begin at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the championship game at 2:45 p.m.

Alexandria has the best record coming in at 5-3, while Moorhead and Park Center are 3-5. Robbinsdale Armstrong is 1-6 so far this season.
