'The Gift of the Magi' presented by radio theater

Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:

ON STAGE

There will be no live performances on Fridays, December 21, 28 or January 4. Live performances will resume on January 11 with the production The Life of Hubie Hartzel.

ON THE AIR

LAT will air two holiday stories on Sunday, December 23 on KXRA 1490 AM at 12:30 p.m.

The first is a radio adaptation of the infamous O. Henry story, The Gift of the Magi. The show was directed by Keri Mohror and stars Carrie Larson, Scott Giannone, Sue Justice and Kip Sundlee.

The second story was produced and is broadcast with permission from Martin Bell. Barrington Bunny comes from his book, The Way of the Wolf. The show was directed by Ann Hermes and stars Leila Preston, Kevin Lee, Jill Wagner, Alan Hayes, Daniel Roers and Pete Woit.

Both stories are examples of loving someone so much that their needs come first.
