Boys' basketball: Cold shooting stifles Osakis in loss
The Osakis boys’ basketball team shot just 30 percent from the field last Thursday night as Royalton knocked the Silverstreaks to 0-4 in a 54-37 game.
Doug Zimmel was the only Osakis player to score in double figures as he led the way with 14 points. Kilar Zimmel added seven but no other player had more than four as the Silverstreaks hit just 8-of-27 shots from inside the arc.
That slow start left Osakis trailing 24-15 at the break. The Royals didn’t let up after halftime, outscoring the Silverstreaks 30-22 to tally their third win of the season.
Long Prairie-Grey Eagle came to town last night, Tuesday, before Bertha-Hewitt comes in for a 7:30 tipoff on Thursday night.
