Letter - Roughest roads near Alexandria

I often heard “Alexandria is easy to get to but hard to leave.”

To the editor:

I often heard “Alexandria is easy to get to but hard to leave.” This becomes quite true if you come to town from the south on Highway 29 or from the east on Highway 27, but if you must leave on Highway 29 North or Highway 27 West, these are close to being the roughest roads in the state.
