Zion sets preschool roundup

Zion Lutheran School in Alexandria will hold preschool roundup on Tuesday, March 29, at 6:30 p.m. Parents and their preschool-age children are invited to attend.

The roundup is an opportunity to meet the preschool teacher, tour the facilities, and receive information about preschool classes at Zion. While parents talk with the teacher, the children will meet in the preschool room to engage in activities planned especially for them.

Zion will have two two-day sessions of preschool available for 2011-2012. The morning session, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 11 a.m., is for 4- and 5-year olds (by September 1, 2011). The afternoon class, Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 2:30 p.m., includes children from 3½ to 5 years old. Preference will be given to those children who will be at least 4 by September 1.

Both classes are taught by a certified teacher with a college degree in early childhood education with the assistance of a full-time aide.

Registration forms and information packets for preschool are available at the school, 300 Lake Street, or by calling (320) 763-4842 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m to 3 p.m. The first time registration will be accepted is at the roundup on March 29. Registrations can also be brought to the school during office hours beginning on March 30.
