Year-long series to examine the 1960s

Community Education will look back 50 years to the 1960s with a year-long series.

A class on civil rights led by John Heydt and Jeff Hansen will take place Monday, November 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Grand Arbor community room in Alexandria. The cost is $9.


Many people in the ’60s faced unrest due to the unfair treatment of many U.S. citizens. The civil rights movement included focus on segregation.
