Yager earns Eagle Scout rank
An Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Paul Yager, son of Barbara Dolezal and Jon Yager of Alexandria, was held recently at the Church of St. Mary's.
Yager is a member of St. Mary's Boy Scout Troop 418, where he served as junior assistant scoutmaster. He started scouting as a Tiger Cub in 1st grade in 1997. Moving through the ranks of scouting has taught him invaluable life skills, outdoor survival skills and leadership training.
Yager is an Order of the Arrow member and took part in High Adventure Camps, where he was challenged to reach a higher level of trust, teamwork and decision making.
Yager's Eagle Scout project was the refurbishing of the pavilion at Brophy Park. He looks forward to continuing working with the Boy Scouts throughout his adult years. He is currently attending University of Minnesota-Duluth, where he is majoring in biochemical engineering/pre-med.
