A world floating without a Son
To the editor:
One of this morning’s NBC headlines is very interesting. It reads, “Lonely planet: Astronomers spot a world without a sun.”
Is that what our country is to become? A lonely planet floating without a Son? If you are not a Christian, then perhaps that does not matter to you, but it does matter to many of us who are responsible enough to care about how we live and what we promote.
The people who pushed so hard for gay marriage and the politicians who legalized this perverted act are totally without responsibility or concern for the direction our country is headed. Legalizing an act that is wrong does not make it right, nor does glamorizing it as the Alexandria newspaper did make it right or even worthy of being printed.
What are you going to do with Jesus in all of this? Where is your concern for our young people and the example that you set before them? We all make mistakes in our lives without promoting and legalizing them and saying this is all OK when it isn’t.
Yes, our lonely planet will be floating without a Son, and our people will be adrift like a ship without a sail unless we repent and turn back to our Lord before it is too late. Without Him we can do nothing. With Him we can do everything, and we can have victory over those things that bind us to sin. He is alive today.
What will be your choice today?
