Women riders display passion for motorcycles
The seventh annual International Female Ride Day (IFRD) was held on Friday, May 3. Thousands of women from all over the world rode their motorcycles to show the high number of women that participate in the sport.
Four women motorcyclists from Alexandria, Karen Kamrowski, Karen Olson, Chris Erickson and Janet Young, took part in IFRD.
All own their own Harley Davidson motorcycles and are members of the Harley Owners Group and Ladies of Harley Lakes Area Chapter.
"Women have always enjoyed motorcycling, and every year, this campaign brings attention to its empowering message as a reminder of just how many women already ride," said Vicki Gray, creator of IFRD and founder of Motoress, an online community for motorcyclists.
