Women Caring for the Land to meet May 27

The Women Caring for the Land group will meet Tuesday, May 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glenwood. There is no charge, and a light lunch will be provided.

This learning group is open to all women farmland owners and provides a space for discussions about conservation, tenant relationships and management decisions.

Women are the fastest-growing segment of farmland owners, and for many, renting those acres for agricultural production can provide a steady source of income. However, management decisions can also include provisions for soil health, wildlife habitat and protecting investments for the long term.

The Women Caring for the Land group connects women farmland owners to resources and support to help them make good decisions for the land as well as its owners and renters.
