Windmill Project offers free family events

The Windmill Project has announced some free upcoming activities for families this summer.

A family day at Lake Carlos State Park near Alexandria, sponsored by the Windmill Project and Let’s Go Fishing, will be held on Friday, July 25. Pontoons will launch at 10 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m.

Life vests, fishing equipment and snacks will be provided. A picnic lunch will be served at noon on the beach.

This event is free and open to all families of children with special needs and disabilities. Day passes for Lake Carlos State Park will be made available to all families if needed.

Attendees must RSVP before the event.

Families are also invited to attend the Blue Anchors vs. The Rochester Honkers game on Sunday, August 10 at 1:05 p.m. at Knute Nelson Field in Alexandria.

Admittance to the game is free, as well as hot dogs and non-alcoholic beverages.
