What is a fair and profitable farm rental agreement?
Landlords, farmers and agri-business professionals are invited to attend a free meeting to discuss fair, profitable farm rental contracts.
This University of Minnesota Extension-sponsored meeting will be held Friday, November 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Douglas County Public Works meeting room at 526 Willow Drive in Alexandria. Pre-registration is not necessary.
Negotiating a fair rental agreement that satisfies the landowner and the farmer is a challenge, according to David Bau, extension educator in ag business management.
Bau will provide several ways to determine a fair farm land rental rate for both parties.
The meetings are designed to assist landowners, farmers and agri-business professionals with financial issues related to farmland rental rates, ownership, management, leasing agreements and related issues.
