Wendel effort not enough in Willmar

Hannah Wendel once again took first in the all-around for the Alexandria gymnastics team but it was not enough in an away meet with Willmar.

Willmar ended up taking the conference matchup 142.375-136.475.

Wendel’s first place score of 37.05 in the all-around included firsts on the vault and the bars. She finished with a 9.525 in the vault and a 9.15 on the bars. She also led the Cardinals with a second place finish on the floor routine with a 9.45 and a third place on the beam with an 8.925.

Tahlia Bowden also had three top-five finishes for Alexandria in the individual events. She finished in third place with a 9.35 on the vault, third place with an 8.6 on the bars and fourth place on the beam with an 8.9.

Bria Schueler did not finish in the top five in any single event for the Cardinals but her consistency helped her finish in fourth place in the all-around with a 32.1.
