Weather is turning blustery in Douglas County

Douglas County is starting to get some of the blustery bad conditions that are in the forecast.

A reporter who was in Osakis said that the drive back to Alexandria on County Road 82 was difficult in the blowing snow.

A blizzard warning is in effect from 3 a.m. Thursday to midnight.

Only an inch or so of snow is expected, but the National Weather Service is predicting wind gusts of up to 40 miles per hour that will cause blowing and drifting snow and white-out conditions. Wind chills are expected to drop to 30 below zero.
