WCA wins in five sets over Upsala

The West Central Area volleyball team was able to pull out a win over Upsala Thursday in a five set match on the road.

The Knights were down a set after losing two of the first three, but they were able to pull out a comeback by winning set four 25-14 and the decisive set five 15-11.

“We fought to the very end,” Beth Hill said. “I am extremely happy with how sets four and five went.”

Tiana Christenson led the Knights with 16 kills and 36 digs, and Hill was happy with her focus and leadership in the match.

Christina Kruize led the team with 40 assists. Holly Van Kempen was also an offensive force for the Knights with 13 kills and six blocks.

The win helped the Knights improve to 6-3 this season with a 3-3 record against conference opponents.
